Challenge & Scope

With just 12 hours on the clock, the goal was to deliver a fully polished presentation for a keynote at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference last December 2024. The client needed a deck that clearly communicated complex ideas and left a lasting impression on a technical audience.

The scope involves:

  • 🔍 Translating technical content into simple, visually engaging slides
  • 📊 Visualizing key insights through clean layouts and intuitive data representation
  • 🎨 Ensuring every slide aligned with the client’s branding and narrative flow

What I Received

To get started, Innolitics’ CEO sent over a 10-page PDF packed with his talking points, along with a PowerPoint template they’d used in the past. I also did some digging—reviewing their website, social media, and brand presence to better understand their visual style and tone.

  • 📄 A 10-page PDF containing the full content of their RSNA keynote
  • 📊 A previously used PowerPoint template for reference
  • 🌐 Their website and social media profiles (sourced via online research)

My Approach

This was one of those projects where speed and clarity had to work hand in hand. I had just 12 hours to take a dense, technical draft and turn it into a stage-ready keynote for one of the biggest radiology conferences in the world.

I started by reviewing Innolitics’ branding, past materials, and website to match the tone and visual identity. Then I built a 27-slide keynote that distilled complex concepts into something sharp, engaging, and easy to followwithout losing any of the technical depth.

Here’s how I tackled it:

  • 🔍 Reviewed their brand, site, and internal materials for alignment
  • 🧱 Reorganized the dense PDF into a presentation-friendly narrative arc
  • 🧠 Simplified FDA and AI/ML concepts without watering them down
  • 🎨 Designed bold, modern slides with clean layouts and modular sections
  • ⏱️ Made sure every slide could stand on its own—presentation-ready and easy to absorb

Before vs After

When Innolitics reached out, they shared two things: a 10-page text document with technical talking points, and a deck they’d used in the past. The content was solid but the presentation didn’t reflect the professionalism of their brand or the clarity needed for a keynote at a major conference like RSNA.

The reference slides were heavy, text-based, and lacked the structure or visual interest to hold a live audience’s attention. My goal was to take what was already there and turn it into something clearer, more intentional, and visually engaging for the stage.

✅ What Stayed the Same (And Worked!)

The content was well thought out. The section flow, technical insights, and core talking points were strong, so I kept those intact.

  • Followed their original structure and flow from the provided text
  • Retained all core technical points and examples as-is
  • Preserved their tone of voice and level of technical depth

The original deck was packed with dense text and long blocks that were hard to absorb in a live setting. I focused on breaking that content into more digestible pieces, applying visual hierarchy, and designing layouts that gave each point space to land.

  • Broke long, text-heavy slides into multiple, well-paced visuals
  • Simplified slide structure with clear hierarchy and reading flow
  • Applied consistent visual styling based on Innolitics’ brand
  • Balanced technical depth with visual breathing room for live delivery

While I used some reference ideas from the previous deck, I rebuilt every slide layout from scratch to better suit a keynote environment. I designed with scale in mind, making sure slides would still make sense even from the back of a large conference hall. Instead of relying on paragraph-style slides, I leaned into visuals: diagrams, bold text blocks, and strong white space to make the presentation easier to follow.

  • Rebuilt slide layouts based on content and audience visibility
  • Turned dense sections into graphic-driven slides that supported the speaker
  • Split overloaded slides into two to improve pacing and focus
  • Used whitespace, visual anchors, and section breaks to guide the audience
  • Designed each slide for impact and clarity in a large-format setting

The Outcome

The keynote was a success. The clarity and visual polish of the slides enhanced audience engagement and gave the CEO a confident stage presence. It now serves as a visual blueprint for Innolitics’s future conference materials.
